Julian founded Ready Supplier One after noticing a disconnect between Indigenous owned businesses and the corporate/government supply chain. All too often, Julian heard about funds being allocated for Indigenous spend, and then not being used. Why? Apparently none of the Indigenous businesses in that field of work met their supplier requirements! He also heard from Indigenous businesses that they struggled with the often laborious and complex task of meeting these requirements. It is often considered too hard, and so no result is achieved. He realised that one-on-one connection was required to provide tailored solutions to both parties, bringing them together to form long-term business relationships.

His experience in this field began when Julian founded JobTrail, a Supply Nation certified business.  As Managing Director, he successfully led the business for over a decade and continues today as a Non-executive Director. The business began as a recruitment company and quickly expanded to include consultancy and training. Over this time, he has worked directly with Indigenous businesses and communities to help build their capability and capacity. Julian has also worked closely with corporate Australia to assist with Indigenous engagement initiatives, training, employment and Reconciliation Action Plan deliverables. 

Julian is also a Director of not-for-profit organisation Cardiomyopathy Australia New Zealand, where he leads the Governance committee. He is a qualified lawyer having been admitted to the Supreme Court of Qld in 2018. These skill sets have enabled Julian to gain an in-depth understanding of business requirements across multiple industries, and his experience as a founder of various businesses has given him significant insight into the challenges faced when trying to grow a business.
